A Winter's Tale is our signature fundraising event. Held in the Triangle in January, this black tie event
honors individuals and organizations committed to children and families, and includes a silent auction, an
elegant dinner, a keynote address from a literary figure, and dancing.

Epicurean Evening is our newest effort to raise awareness and support for the work of Methodist Home for Children in the
Wilmington area. An evening that features savory tastings from local chefs, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment,
it is a night to remember and celebrate the children and families we serve.

1K for 1Kid is an initiative that enables us to complete the care for one child for one year.
You and your group can help Methodist Home for Children in your community. Your contributions help:
- Clothe and feed children in our group homes
- Counsel families in crisis
- Find homes for children with our foster families
- Serve children affected by substance abuse

MHC Sunday is an annual opportunity for local churches to invite an MHC representative to speak to their congregations and support our services through a special offering. These donations help MHC recruit and support foster and adoptive parents and help to clothe, feed and provide for the children in our care.

2/4/2012 - A Winter's Tale
Methodist Home for Children will host its 15th annual charity gala, A Winter's Tale, at the Raleigh Convention Center on Feb. 4, 2012. The black-tie event benefits our children and families with proceeds from an evening of live and silent auctions, an elegant dinner, dancing and a keynote message from Cynthia Marshall, president of AT&T's North Carolina operations.
In addition to being a shrewd and successful businesswoman, Marshall is an advocate for kids and education and a devoted parent, along with her husband of 28 years, to three adopted children.
