“Thou art the potter …”

What image comes to mind when you join in the singing of this hymn? Most of us imagine a beautiful piece of pottery, perfectly molded and blessed by God. But have you ever considered the actual molding process, and how that must feel to the clay?

As Advent begins let us humble ourselves and remember: We are the clay.

Come Lord Jesus. We are waiting.
