Wilmington’s Epicurean Evening

We are sorry to bring the news that Epicurean Evening 2020 is canceled. This is hard no matter which way we turn it. We hurt for those who are suffering from Covid-19 and for their family and friends. We hurt for our friends and loyal patrons – the restaurants and pubs – who are affected by the necessary lockdowns. And we hurt for the children and families living in New Hanover County whom we serve; their needs are growing, their lives more fragile and – quite honestly – without the gifts we receive from Epicurean Evening, we’re not sure we’ll be able to reach them all.

Epicurean Evening is more than a culinary celebration.

This is an event – an extraordinary event – that raises money to serve your community. Last year, you – our Epicurean Evening family – gave $150,000 to Methodist Home for Children. We used your gifts to make sure every child in our care was safe, every child in our care lived in a home free from abuse, and every child in our care was on the path to a better life.

Those needs are still with us. They have, in fact, multiplied. Fear, stress, and uncertainty are growing and, as difficult as this is to imagine, the ones who suffer the most are the children.

Will you help?

Will you make a gift, even without Epicurean Evening? Could you donate what you would have spent? Or maybe even give a little bit more?

We will be back in 2021!
