Birth parents who have decided to place their child for adoption can choose a confidential, semi-open or fully open process.
Confidentiality is one of the first considerations for matching birth parents and adoptive families. Identifying information is not shared unless both parties agree to do so.
Confidential Adoption
• Family selection by birth parents or by New Life Adoptions
• No face-to-face contact between birth parents and adoptive family
• No disclosure of identifying information
Semi-Open Adoption
• Family selection by birth parent
• New Life Adoptions mediates contact between birth parents and adoptive family before and after placement
• No disclosure of identifying information
Open Adoption
• Family selection by birth parent
• Birth parents and adoptive family exchange information
• No New Life Adoptions involvement in mediating contact
