Referrals

Methodist Home for Children admits children and young people through a variety of referring organizations, including county Departments of Social Service (DSS), the NC Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, managed care organizations, mental health providers and families in need.

Residential Programs

Foster Care, Therapeutic Foster Care:

Referrals come through Youth Development Center social workers and Juvenile Justice court counselors, but ultimately each youth is responsible for applying to the program. No court order is needed for placement.
